Since 1875, the Hächler bakery in Seengen on Lake Hallwil has been in the hands of the same family. Now run by the 6thgeneration, the current owners have made their mark with a the new extension featuring a shingle façade that accommodates the state-of-the-art bakehouse. The space freed up in the old building now serves as a tea room, which was enlarged by slightly narrowing the sales room. An open view into the pastry shop demonstrates: everything is homemade!
The custom-made bread rack dominates the sales area. The display case merges into a counter-like surface and then morphs into a showcase for particularly exquisite patisseries. The quality of the interior design is intended to mirror that of the products. Simple materials such as the mixed-colour stoneware floor, painted surfaces and oak wood contrast with marble and custom-made sales furniture. All the design details are well thought-out, straightforward and simple. In the family business, investments are recouped over a long period of time.
