Since 1875, the Hächler bakery in Seengen on Lake Hallwil has been in the hands of the same family. Now run by the 6^thgeneration, the current owners have made their mark with a the new extension featuring a shingle façade that accommodates the state-of-the-art bakehouse. The space freed up in the old building now serves as a tea room, which was enlarged by slightly narrowing the sales room. An open view into the pastry shop demonstrates: everything is homemade!
The custom-made bread rack dominates the sales area. The display case merges into a counter-like surface and then morphs into a showcase for particularly exquisite patisseries. The quality of the interior design is intended to mirror that of the products. Simple materials such as the mixed-colour stoneware floor, painted surfaces and oak wood contrast with marble and custom-made sales furniture. All the design details are well thought-out, straightforward and simple. In the family business, investments are recouped over a long period of time.
